Job Description

We are looking for a Network Technician to provide onsite support regionally for our dental practices. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with the Practice Managers and Partner Dentists. The candidate will need to understand all technological needs, possess the ability to troubleshoot a variety of technological issues independently, and understand when to escalate to the engineering team, vendor support team, or management when all other paths have been exhausted.

Responsibilities

  • Works with other IT Staff to support the technology needs of the business, including desktop computing, help desk support, LANs, and various business systems focused on the dental space.
  • Provide daily onsite support for multiple practices in a specified region.
  • Learn multiple dental Practice Management Systems to support sensors and imaging tools.
  • Maintain and repair hardware.
  • Evaluate network performance to identify bottlenecks.
  • Schedule upgrades and maintenance without interrupting the practices workflow.
  • Work with vendor support teams for their specific equipment.
  • Design and install computer networks, connections and cabling.
  • Identify and plan replacement of all end-of-life hardware.
  • Understand the patient experience applications to provide support.
  • Serve as backup to Engineer on at least one overarching monitoring tool.
  • Identify any cabling needs.
  • Maintains accurate documentation, including procedures, inventories and training material

Qualifications

  • Two to three years in a support related position.
  • Strong troubleshooting strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to stay focused on current task while working in a fast-paced practice that has not had consistent onsite support.
